Zilis: Vikings inspired by late team member

DANVILLE — The final conversation between Danville assistant girls’ basketball coach Megan Gleason and D’Nija Parker wouldn’t have stood out from any other if it wasn’t their last.

Nearing full strength, Meeker advances

CLINTON — As the temperature in the cryogenic chamber reaches minus-155 degrees, St. Joseph-Ogden senior wrestler Griffin Meeker tries to let his thoughts drift off during the three-minute sessions.

“I just try to take my mind off of it and don’t really feel it,” Meeker said.

Crowley leads Bulldogs contingent

MASCOUTAH — Hunter Crowley will get the chance this week to see if the third time is the charmed one.
